1. DAB Radio Testing in Flextronics Austria - Psion Wavefinder Project

Responsible for overseeing the design , build and comissiong of a high performance DAB Final/Functional Test system as used by Flextronics to verify the Psion Wavefinder during production. The radio module itself was designed by Roke Manor Research http://www.roke.co.uk and Radioscape http://www.radioscape.com

2. AVR / Turnsafe http://www.turnsafe.com

Hired by both the inventor and entrepreneur to assist the product development and route to manufacture of this fascinating and novel (patented) mirror system aimed at articulated lorries. The mirror tracks the rear of the trailer by the use of a camera vision system with ‘recognition’ capabilities. Thus ensuring that the driver can always see the end of the trailer in his/her mirror without resorting to readjustment.

My actions included:

Technical Project Management, obtaining appropriate mirror approvals via the BSI, Co-ordinating the requisite tests for EMC testing, hiring of technicians, hiring an expert EMC advisor Keith Armstrong  http://www.cherryclough.com, supplier auditing,  manufacturing test system design and plans, documentation, producing an accelerated life test plan, design of wire loom and commissioning of suitable supplier, design reviews, ….
